E kwulobia — The Anglican Diocese of Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, weekend, has commissioned its  Sure Anchor Microfinance Bank Ltd , established by the diocese. Commissioning the project, the Bishop of Amichi, Rt. Rev. Ephraim Ikeakor said the church embarked on the banking project to encourage the culture of banking habit in the lives of the rural populace and discourage the attitude of living without saving for the rainy day.

Is the Anglican Communion about to split over different views of sexual ethics? The theme of the 2015 Standing Committee Meeting of the Church of Nigeria holding at the Cathedral Church of St. David's, Akure, "Look and live" has far reaching implications for Nigeria and Nigerians, it has been affirmed. The affirmation was made by the Bishop Theologian for the Church of Nigeria, Rt. Revd. (Prof) Dapo Asaju. According to the cleric, it is important that Nigeria as a nation retraces her step back to God and forsakes her sinful ways so that there can be true development. The Director of Civic and Political Affairs, Church of Nigeria and Anglican Chaplain to the National Assembly, Ven. Joseph Unanyan JP, has charged Clerics to have unshakeable faith in the word and power of the God they preach in order to experience the supernatural in their lives and ministries. The Cleric gave the charge while speaking with the Standing Committee’s News Crew during the 2015 Anglican Communion Standing Committee meeting held at the Cathedral of St. David’s, Ijomu in Akure, Ondo State capital.
