The Anglican
Church has constructed an ultra-modern hospital to provide adequate and
affordable health care services to residents of Kubwa, a satellite town in the
Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Bishop
of the Kubwa Diocese, Rt. Rev. Duke Akamisoko, disclosed this in Abuja on
Wednesday at a press briefing to herald the first session of the third synod of
the diocese coming in Lugbe, FCT.
"Our
vision of the hospital is to provide adequate and effective health care to the
teeming population of who could not afford the high cost of private
hospital," he added.
The cleric
assured that the hospital which is open to all, irrespective of religion
denomination, would be affordable with trusted and qualified personnel with
high level morality and responsibility.
He further disclosed that the church has
invested much on the project, both on the building and equipment, adding that
two resident doctors, nurses and other medical personnel would be on ground to
render 24 hour service to the patients.
He urged the residents, especially women and
children, to take advantage of the facilities to enhance their health
conditions
