47 Benefit From Kubwa Anglican Church Welfare

The Anglican Diocese of Kubwa, under the auspices of the Kubwa Diocesan Development and Welfare Services (KDDWS), has empowered about 47 entrepreneurs in various small-scale businesses.

The support items, which were given in conjunction with the Christian Aids Nigeria, included grinding machine, digital cameras, sowing machines, milling and drilling machines, as well as cash rewards to the recipients, who were drawn from Abuja Municipal, Kuje and Bwari Area Councils of the FCT.

Speaking at the event, the Bishop of Kubwa Diocese, Rt. Rev. Duke Akamisoko, said the gesture was a clear demonstration of what the church stands for, which includes assisting the less privileged in the society irrespective of their religious affiliations.

Represented by Ven. Rex Eze, the Bishop pledged the church's continuous commitment in alleviating the plight of the masses, insisting that the support has so far paid off in establishing most of them.

Chairman of the board, Chukwuemeka, said the donation is in recognition of the interest they had shown towards impacting positively on the lives of people in their neighbourhood.

He urged the recipients to reciprocate the generosity of the organisation by making judicious use of the facilities in improving their present situations and that of other members of the society.
One of the beneficiaries, Justina Adamu, could not hold back her joy in appreciation of what she received from the organisation, promising to put the equipment to use to guarantee better standard of living.

CMS ANNIVERSARY: BISHOP ORJI ADMONISHES CHRISTIANS TO EVANGELIZE THE WOR...

Every member of our Diocese is a missionary in North America because God has called us to salvation and sent us to proclaim his word. This is urgent partly because our culture is no longer Christian, in fact it is openly hostile to the Christian Faith. Our goal is to tell the good news of the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus to our pagan relatives, friends, colleagues and society with gentleness and respect so that they might repent of sin, believe in Christ and be sav ed. That is the mission of our Diocese. This entails sacrifice and shame and suffering. The CMS missionaries suffered and many died to give the gospel to Africa. Let us be willing to suffer to give this gospel to our nations again. We are not here to spread our version or your version of Anglicanism as wonderful as you may think it is. Rather we are here to spread the gospel primarily and hopefully in the process teach a godly expression of Anglicanism. Since we are Anglican missionaries sent by God to evangeliz...
